The rose festival in St Yrieix-sous-Aixe

A large number of rose-growers will be happy to present their production. Arts and crafts will also be present with the rose as a theme. Decoration of the church with hundreds of roses. Christening of a rose : this year's godmother is Nicole CALFAN.
It is possible to make a reservation for lunch on the same day.
In the village. Entrance fee : 2,50 €.
Important : St Yrieix sous Aixe is located near Aixe-sur-Vienne and has nothing to do with St Yrieix la Perche (in fact, it is quite in the opposite direction, to the West of Limoges).

I will be on holidays from Monday May 14th through May 21st. The workshop will then be open throughout the whole summer.

I've gathered my tools and am ready to center the mirror in the middle of the wood. Mmmm, how do I calculate the angles ? Geometry and I have never gone hand in hand !

I have now embarqued upon the "mosaicing" of the mirorr commissioned by my Parisian clients. Looking for the wood was not simple. After a mix-up concerning the dimensions (thanks to Leroy-Merlinà, I have had a 122 cm x 122 cm cut out.
Slight problem : it does not fit into my car !!! I had not foreseen this /:o((
After delivery, I am finally in receipt of my wood. Have you seen the size of the monster ?

Christmas market in place de la Motte - LIMOGES

Let's meet place de la Motte in Limoges for the traditional open-air Christmas market. Mulled wine, good food and local crafts will be on offer to create a unique and original Christmas flavour. In addition to mosaics, I will display glass objects, my latest creations.

Christmas handicrafts

Exhibition at the Chamber of Trade - 12 avenue Garibaldi - 87000 LIMOGES
From 10:30 am till 7:00 pm except on Sat., Dec. 24th (closing time : 4:00pm)
This exhibition and sale gathers both craftspeople and the food trade "made in Limousin" and will enable all shoppers to find local and original gifts.

Temporary crafts shop "Fais-moi rêver" ("Make me dream") - Limoges

At 1 place St Aurélien, on the former location of "Cuo Negra", a temporary crafts store has opened to offer a choice of Christmas presents "made in Limousin".
They cover a range of fashion items, accessories, sculptures, paintings, cardboard furniture, jewelry and all of them are unique pieces.

Assembling Danièle's mosaic on a letter-box

Danièle has brought the mosaic she has created, cut out in the shape of a circus tent, and set up on a fiberglass netting. First step : preparing the glue and laying the mosaic down. The glue surfaces between the mosaic and Danièle has to gouge it out ! We then leave the work to dry out for a couple of hours during which our hosts offer us a lovely lunch and a tour of the circus museum set up in the attic of their beautiful house.
Next comes the preparation of the grout (black) and the grouting itself. We clean as best we can and the next day, the letter-box is set-up again. Modestly, both Danièle and myself think it looks real pretty ! And the postman did say that it was the best-looking letter-box in town...

In the tradition of former-times markets, Collonges-la-Rouge, named after its exceptionally red stone, is getting ready to celebrate the bread market baked in the local oven. It\'s time to take a break, to wander around and to taste the various foods on offer. Producers, craftsmen and artists contribute to make a success of this day which takes us back to our childhood. Music and entertainment in the village.

Rue des arts in St Yrieix-la-Perche

In a temporary shop shared with several craftsmen and women, I will present this summer my production in mosaics as well as glass jewelry. Approximately 80 craftsmen across 11 shops will ensure that their creations are adapted in order for everyone to be able to acquire a unique souvenir. Workshops are organised by various professionals (program available from the town-hall).
You will find me in the boutique called "A tout à l'art" 6 place du marché (next to the food-hall). I will be manning the store during 5 Sundays and 5 Mondays. If you would like to meet me there, please do not hesitate to ask me at which dates I'll be present via the website.

Night market in rue Haute-Vienne / Limoges

Initiated by the Chambers of Commerce, Trade and Agriculture as well as all shopkeepers in rue Haute-Vienne, this event will be held for the 3rd time on Thursday, June 30th, 2011. Many local producers and craftsment will join the shopkeepers during this evening to offer their local production.

Biennal festival of ceramics in Gorre

Crafstmen and artists working on ceramics, porcelain, faience, stoneware, pottery, enamels, mosaics, metal sculpture, bronze, window-glass, roof-tiles, brasswork and ironworks will get together.
Exhibition, workshops and demonstrations.
The even will be held around the church and the Gorre festival hall.
No entrance fee, free parking.

Limoges flee market

Every 2nd Sunday of the month, the streets around the cathedral are invaded by a swarm of antique and second-hand dealers as well as craftsmen. One can walk around and hunt for bargains as well as enjoying the open air cafés.
I can be found at the top of rue des Petites Maisons.
