ADULT CLASSES

For beginners, I suggest a creation of direct mosaic : the student will learn how to cut tiles, the various ways of laying them (insertum, etc.) and will go all the way to grouting (in one or two colors).

For the more advanced students, alternative ways of laying mosaics are on offer : indirect method, fiberglass mesh, as well as using a wide array of materials.

During the class, everything is provided :

• tesserae (all sorts), pebbles, glass baubles, etc
• tools : nippers, glues, spatulas
• grout : white or colored

Classes are given in small groups (from 4 to 5 students) for a minimum of 2 hours. Three hours are recommended.

CHILDRENS' CLASSES

2 to 3-hour courses are on offer, during which children have an initiation into creating a simple motif on a wood-support of their choice. They chose their own colors and create a mosaic from beginning to end – just like grown-ups.

HOLIDAY COURSES

On an « à la carte » basis, make the most of a long week-end in the South-West or of your holidays: come and discover the Limousin region. I offer a combination of mosaic and tourism on a half-day basis or for a full day if you prefer.

Create your own program (12 hours minimum) with a mosaic class either in the morning or the afternoon and enjoy the rest of the day to discover this truly superb region (www.tourismelimousin.com).

PROFESSIONAL TRAINING

For professional training, an initiation to mosaic is on offer based on a 30-hour-week. It can be complemented by another 30 hours of further specialization.

This training is given by Claire FLUS, mosaist, duly registered as a professional, according to the article of the trade laws R.921-5, under No. 74.87.01092.87
